I like th fish and the bird but in the picture they just seem out of place. But every thing else is amazing and your technique is wonderful.

Very surreal, how do you get that rough feel to it without overdoing the ink man?

VERY CAREFULLY. i hold the pen at an extreme angle, and scrape at the paper quickly and repeatedly. the effect depends completely on the pen i'm using, which is the reason i use the pen that i do.

Hahahah awesome man, which pen do you normally use? I could guess and say some kind of felt tip one. Must take patience.

black ink ball point actually. not like a bic though. it's black fluid ink, and it has a crimped ball point, not spring loaded like bics are. it's a standard technical pen, very fine.

yeah well... :iconsmug2plz:
lol. i get o.c.d. about detail and minutia. stuff like how the ink reacts when starting and finishing a line, is a big deal to me when drawing. i've been asked so many times about that. i should take some macro photos so i can show everyone what i'm talking about.

It's all in the detail my man. That would be awesome though, you should def do that. I'm sure there's loads of poeople who wonder who you get the lines. I'm a massive fan of how ink streams onto paper myself so I can totally relate. I only write with certain pens as I'm super fussy about how they connect with the paper :D what brand do you use dude?

exactly!

my main detail pen is a Pilot. i'm a big fan of the Kooh-i-Noor 'Nexus' art pen. but they usually start leaking... i like it for a slightly thicker, more solid line. they have an amazing (***AMAZING!***) line-width control-ability. so it's really easy to feather the start, and end, of a line. i use some Sakura, Pentel, and Sharpie as well.

i could go on for hours. :)

Wooow. This is really kewl. Seems so eerie and mystical. Like the detail like how you did a very slightly darker tint for the sky and left the clouds white...which are shaped awesomely by the way. Also dig the hint of red for the changing place. Makes a small big effect. Really sic Nick
