As someone who loves backgrounds but has yet to conquer them effectively, I REALLY like this piece.

It reminds me of the Maxx and the Outback.

By the way, thanks so much for your comment! It was a great welcome to the Deviantart community.

P.S. I recommend recycled paper to anyone and everyone.

i actually sketched this piece in my recycled paper sketchbook. i have added a lot of photo backgrounds to drawings, so if you have any questions i would be glad to share some wisdom.

I think... when I look at it, it makes me think that the right side is fear; enclosing and barren and with only one way out (and it's a long drop down). The left side makes me think of enlightenment; golden and shaped by your will to be anything you'd like and there is no way in or out because it doesn't hold you to anything.

Bu that's just me being all weird... I love the picture though!

I think its ourselves... we sometimes feel like the right side of the drawing and if we can shape ourselves this is how its gonna be... and other times we feel like the left side... full of light dreams and hopes
