this is the cover of my newest sketch book. i wanted it to have something a little different.
the book cover has a slight texture. the white ink is from a sakura gelly roll, gel pen. i did not use any measuring devices of any kind in drawing this. i eyeballed it. get it. haha.

lol, one of my favorite bands! seen them live once. fucking epic.
but yeah, you're thinking of the guy that does their album covers. forget his name... nevermind it's alex grey! yeah that's it. this resembles his style. tool's guitarist does other art for the band, you see his stuff in the music videos and concerts, different style altogether.

it was worth it for the light show alone.
yeah, adam jones (guitarist) did all the prosthetics for the schism video, and the little figures for the videos with stop motion. actually the video for parabol/parabola was kind of a mash up of their art styles. really hard to find a decent recording. but [link]
