everything you need to know about the great cthulhu --->[link] or better yet you could read the astounding works of H.P. Lovecraft for yourself.
inspiration has bled from his works into my thoughts. so tremendous and provoking are his stories that i doubt i will ever create anything outside of his writing's influence, ever again! well, i probably will, but who knows?

this was drawn on some weird green packing paper that was shipped with some wooden toys delivered to the shop where i "work". it has a layer of black stuff inside that light can't get through. ink and white gelpen were used.


*update*

if you search "cthulhu" in the dA search bar, this comes up on the first page! that's something to be proud of, lol.

Very well done. The color really sets the tone to this picture. I enjoy the octopus devil bat thing. Good job.

This is so freakin' sweet! I LOVE the paper and the way you rendered the character. I can't get over this one. The pose is incredible. The texturing is incredible. Everything is incredible. This is truly phenomenal work! I want to :+fav: it to death. I've gotta get my hands of some different kinds of paper.

yeah we need more lovecraftian work from you I think. Great character work, lovely paper stock as well. As to the influence on your work, all I can say is its only when he's actually getting into your dreams that you need to put the lovecraft down

i still need to read 'em ups, but thats a very fetching cthulu. i couldnt find any white gelpens in stores... it was very saddening... white charcoal is harder to use

Dear god...get more of that green paper! This has to be the best piece yet from you. Man...your on a roll and your style is really starting to shine.

I just can't critique this one and even if I could it would be a very tiny nit picky thing because overall this is solid. Awesome cthulhu!!!
